2024 Carnival Guest: Erin Phillips OAM

The 2024 Bendigo Bank Mortlock Shield carnival guest is Erin Phillips OAM. Erin had a stellar sporting career on the national and international stage including:

  • Debuting in the Australian Women’s National Basketball League at the age of 17 for the Adelaide Lightning
  • Being named in the All-Australian Women’s National Basketball League team three times and winning a WNBL championship
  • Nine seasons in the US Women’s National Basketball Association and is a two-time US WNBA champion
  • Representing Australia on the women’s national basketball team and winning a gold medal at the FIBA World Championship for Women
  • Serving as co-vice-captain for the Australian Opals at the 2016 Summer Olympics
  • Playing for the Adelaide Crows in the AFLW competition, being the inaugural co-Captain in 2017, and over five seasons winning three AFLW premierships, twice being AFLW best and fairest and AFLW Grand Final best on ground in 2017 and 2019
  • Completing her AFLW career with the Port Adelaide Football Club when they were admitted into the competition in 2022 as the inaugural Captain.
